Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actor best well-known for her character of detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue in which she was awarded an Emmy Award. The most notable role she has played is her role as a character in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney is the daughter of an executive at the United Auto Workers who was also a mother. Delaney has four older brothers. As a child, Delaney fantasized about becoming a court reporter. Her modeling career began in highschool and eventually gained commercial roles when she moved to New York. Her first role acting was as a young girl in the show All My Children. Delaney's career has been filled with numerous television films and dramas. Her career hasn't been successful or happy personal life. The gifted actress was struggling to overcome the effects of alcohol and two marriages fail. In 2005, she lost custody over her one son.
