Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26th, 1991) more popularly known as her real title Ari Lennox is an American artist and singer hailing who hails from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be affiliated with J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. The first album she released on the label on October 21st, 2016, titled Pho. This is when she gained notoriety. Shea Butter Baby released her first studio album on 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her music onto the internet in 2012 as she launched her debut mixtape called Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography In 2013. In 2014, she continued to upload her music via the web, including her own launched single Bound. The 21st day of July, the 21st of July in 2015 Omen was featured on Elephant Eyes' track"Sweat It Out. J. Cole was interested in her talent and wanted to work with Rihanna. The 8th of December was the day she announced that she was signed to Dreamville Records. The record Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the song Backseat along with Cozz. The 21st of October, 2016, her debut EP was released, titled Pho. Ari Lennox was a guest on J. Cole's Change, and she performed in her own 4 Your Eyez Only Tour as an opening artist. In 2018, she performed as a guest performer on two songs, with EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song as well as Bas's Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th July, 2018, released her first single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. The music video to accompany it came out on the 5th. The second single she released was Grampa on November 9. In November 13, she came out with two additional singles, One and Pedigree. One as well as Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released as her first single on the 26th of February, 2019, for the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby performed along with Cole as part of her Creed II sound track on the 16th of November. In February the video music for the song was released. The song has received more than 3 million YouTube views in just a single week. As a support act she performed with 6LACK in December of 2018 for the From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
